![]() ![]() ![]() I’m ngl, the idea of an author only allowing one “authorized” podfic of their fic leaves me with sort of a queasy feeling. If you have any advice or thoughts on how I might most appropriately handle this, I’m all ears. Is this usual? I don’t know how this typically works. So therefore that means I have to pick somebody. The idea of having multiple versions floating around just seems a bit weird, although I don’t suppose it would hurt anything if there were. Should there be just one “authorized” podfic of AOTW? I’m leaning toward yes. You may also have heard that there’s a group doing an audioplay version of AOTW.īut I still don’t know how exactly to handle it. She did a great job selling herself and honestly, I can’t wait to hear her rendition. I’ve just given permission for someone to make a podfic of Genie’s Blog. How do I pick someone? Do I need to select one podfic only? Should they be British? Does that matter? It was just easier to avoid the entire subject. I have nothing against the concept of podfic in the abstract, nor do I have any objections to hypothetical podfic being made of my writing, but practically…I wasn’t sure. My hesitance stems entirely from the fact that I didn’t know how I wanted to handle it. Not as many for the others (they’re super long, so are a much larger project). I’ve had quite a few requests for people to do a podfic of Alone on the Water. I have been (I know to some) weirdly reticent on the subject of podfics of my fanfiction. ![]()
